Creativity’s UK has covered contemporary art, film, fashion, design, architecture, literature, theatre and music since 2016. Alongside our regular editorial coverage, we run an Award Submissions pathway — a way for independent artists, authors, filmmakers, and the agencies who represent them to put work in front of our editorial team for feature consideration or award recognition.
Until now, that process hasn’t been clearly explained anywhere on the site. This article fixes that.
Who it’s for
Award Submissions is open to independent creators working across any of our core categories — visual arts, literature, film, theatre, fashion, design, architecture, and music — as well as PR agencies and publicists submitting on behalf of clients.
What we look for
We prioritise work that says something distinct about contemporary UK culture, whether that’s a debut film, a small-press book, an independent fashion line, or an emerging visual artist’s first solo show. Polish matters less than a clear point of view.
How to submit
Send us a short description of the work (one or two paragraphs), a link to view or sample it, and any relevant context — exhibition dates, release dates, or award deadlines if applicable. Agencies submitting on behalf of clients should identify themselves and their client clearly.
What happens next
Our editorial team reviews submissions on a rolling basis. If your work is a fit, we’ll follow up to discuss a feature, review, or inclusion in award consideration, along with realistic timelines — coverage isn’t guaranteed, but every submission is read.
Why it’s worth it
For independent creators, a feature or award mention in an established UK culture publication is a meaningful credibility signal — useful for grant applications, gallery conversations, or press kits. For agencies, it’s a reliable, low-friction route to placing client work in front of a genuinely engaged culture readership.
